Drinking From the Saucer

I've never made a fortune and I'll never make one now,
but it really doesn't matter 'cause I'm happy anyhow.
as I go along my journey I'm reaping better than I've sowed
I'm drinking from the saucer 'cause my cup has overflowed

I don't have a lot of riches and sometimes the goings tough
But with kin and friends to love me, I think I'm rich enough
I thank God for the blessings that his mercy has bestowed
I'm drinking from the saucer 'cause my cup has overflowed

He gives me strength and courage when the way grows steep and rough
I'll ask not for other blessings for I'm already blessed enough
May we never be too busy to help bear another load
Then we'll all be drinking from the saucer
When our cups have overflowed.

Turn your eyes upon Jesus
Look full in his wonderful face
and the things of earth will grow strangely dim

The Gospel According to You

There is a wonderful old story, written in a time long ago
It's the gospel according to Matthew Mark Luke and John

The gospels were given to show us, the power of God's Love divine
May that story be told again in the writing of your life and mine

People read and admire the gospel, with it's love so inspiring and true
But what do they say and think of the gospel according to you?

You are writing each day a gospel, make sure that the writing is true
For the only gospel some will read, is the gospel according to you.

Rainbows

Just little deeds of kindness along with love and cheer
Can place a rainbow in the sky each day through out the year

There are so many little things just waiting to be done
So many needy golden things before the setting sun

Today is here, so use it well. How fast the moments fly
Don't leave undone the little things
Put rainbows in the sky.
